Uh..what? It was southern democrats who enacted them in the first place.
Dixiecrats were far right conservatives.

A business should be allowed to deny service to anyone they want.
Dixiecrats were far right conservatives.
That's an interesting theory, but I don't think it holds up under scrutiny.
The ole' false equivalence trick again??
When its 100 to 1 hardly equal.
If you care what real life historians think based on evidence, see for example:That's an interesting theory, but I don't think it holds up under scrutiny.
Under what scrutiny? All the historical analysis I am aware of puts Dixiecrats comfortably on the extreme right.
There are no "Dixiecrats", that's a term that died before LBJ took office. If you're talking about Blue Dogs, which have sided with the Obama administration and Pelosi/Reid on bills 85% of the time. That's hardly "extreme right", and more effectively left of center.
No, I'm talking about the Dixicrats. Of course they aren't around anymore; they were around during the Jim Crow south, which is what we were discussing.
The Dixiecrats were extreme right wingers.
Not hard to believe they are Republicans
Well, to be fair, this is one serious fucktard of a puggie.
Oh wait, in context? Sorry, lets go for it!
"If someone was a member of the Ku Klux Klan, and they were running a little bakery for instance, the majority of us would find it detestable that they refuse to serve blacks, and guess what? In a matter of weeks or so that business would shut down because no one is going to patronize them, Jensen told the Journal, advocating for the free market's role in promoting civil rights.
While still a fucktard, he tried to have a point and failed miserably. Chik-Fil-A is enjoying much success for their CEO's openly anti gay stance. Religious fundies eat that shit up.
Only on specific social matters, not overall. Robert Byrd was a good example.
This is not correct. Please go look at their platform.

GOP Lawmaker Says Businesses Should Be Allowed To Deny Services To Black People
State Sen. Phil Jensen (R-S.D.) doesn't believe governments should interfere in the private sectors ability to engage in race-based discrimination
I did, aside from racial issues, they're not that different than many Dems today. In fact, the racism is still there, it's simply shifted around 180 degrees.

How can ANYONE support discrimination?
It is equal, your partisan stupidity won't let you see it, and that's what makes it especially bad. :\
That's an interesting theory, but I don't think it holds up under scrutiny.
Who was that that said Obama spoke well for a black guy or something like that? Harry Reid?I issued a challenge question during elections that nobody had been able to answer. I can generate a long list of Republican politicians who made disparaging remarks about Obama solely based on him being black. I asked, name one black or Democratic politician disparaging McCain or Romney solely on him being white.
No quote to date.
That's an interesting theory, but I don't think it holds up under scrutiny.
People should have the right to refuse service unless the government has a compelling interest in denying it. Refusing service due to racism is in the government's interest to restrict.
Refusing service due to a conscientious objection is not the same thing, as in the case of the gay-marriage bakery stuff.
I'd like to see if they denied service to you for something that is important to you and defines you. See how you react.
I guess I'd go somewhere else?
Why do you want to spend your money at a store run by bigots?
It's amazing, isn't it? The left will go to amazing lenghts to gin up their own outrage.Elections are coming up this fall. I would expect that there is going to be an exponential increase in these kind of stories. The 13th rule, Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.
What I always find amusing is the degree to which the faithful rally around the kind of dishonest reporting found in the OP. The term "mindless drones" is a perfect way to describe them.
