If the language included free Medicare for all who are dropped would you still say that?
Again it's unlikely and I'm confident this bill will fall apart but regardless it's not done yet.

My point was around congress crafting legislation that excludes themselves from the impact. Congress should be subject to the same laws as everyone else.

Hahaha, oh Mo you silly goose.

Summary Freedumb Caucus member Mo Brooks does a 180 change on supporting this bill with one tough question. He started off being tickled pink with excitement then in a matter of seconds, literally seconds his happy face disappears and he's not supporting it.

Just proof the Freedumb caucus guys can't be trusted. They'll say they agree but change their minds at the first sign of something being difficult to do.

Just tagging @Sheik Yerbouti because I know he'll love this and @zinfamous for his witty replies

No I think his point is it's not done yet and hasn't been released yet. Three ways to look at this

1) It's still being worked on and they're trying to craft a good bill that will satisfy the majority which is a good thing

2) It's being kept secret because they know it's a turd and nobody wants their name attached to it

3) Baba Booey Howard Sterns penis!

*I'm hoping for #1 even though all indications point to #2 and our representatives are hoping we're all thinking #3 so they can sneak this past to satisfy their donors.

#3 lol

Mo Brooks.

I don't understand why people vote for someone whose face looks like a couch was backed into it.

I just love how it starts so upbeat and he's all excited. Then the dreaded cancer kid question and Mo becomes all somber and deep voiced no I'm not voting for this bil

Basically, he's telling that family with cancer kid to stop voting GOP in red states, because that is the only party in the statehouses and governors' mansions that is all for opting out of Obamacare.

He didn't even commit to not supporting it he said he is closer to yes than no.

I also like how he is trying to make it a states rights issue like people in different states have different health needs. Like all people in a state are either poor or rich.

I think and I'm making a huge assumption that his logic is if some old or sick people get booted its alright as long as healthcare becomes more affordable for everyone else

Yeah you could read his mind. "To that family of the girl with cancer [well you should just stop being poor.]"

actually. people in different states do tend to have different health needs: largely tied to diet and geography. Coloradans are going to have a much higher proportion of skin cancer than residents of other states, because the population there is concentrated at a higher elevation than in other states.

Mississipians are, well, really fat. They should eat less meat and sugar. Other demographics rely more on refined grains and others are more meat-centric. Changing habits or behavior can only get you so far as the resources available to you.

Somehow I highly doubt insurance plans are going to get that granular.

Meanwhile Ontario Liberals are introducing prescription drug coverage for anyone under 21 starting next Jan. While not 100% of drugs are covered, it does include cancer treatment.

THIS is how republicans operate.
Turn it over to the state then naturally the state can't handle it, can't afford it, and won't do it.

So you either live in a state with crappy insurance and millions not covered, or you live in California where most everyone has healthcare and affordable healthcare at that.

Some states won't even try.
It's not in their nature.
And other states, well one state like CA will devise a workable affordable system but none of the red states will dare copy or try to reproduce the blue state success.

Face it.
Reds simply don't care about people nor the poor nor the middle class.
They never have and they never will.
They fight Planned Parenthood, Unions, education, clean environments, safety on the job, and babies once removed from the mothers womb.
But what Reds are so good at doing is convincing the poor and the middle class that liberal and progressive is a dirty word.
And convincing the poor and middle class that it is better to be poor, healthcare-less, hurting, jobless, uneducated, reduced to trailer trash THEN blame the Muslims and Blacks for their downfall.

And how does one protect against Muslims and Blacks?
By building walls and pushing the NRA.

This "should be" a perfect storm.
Trump and republican policies on a path of self destruction.
The people finally waking up and realizing they've been had by Trump-ism.
People realizing that all the republicans really wanted was the US Supreme Court, and that was that. Even if they had to steal it. which they actually did.

This should be the perfect storm for the demise of republican policy however... people are ignorant.
They are fools and never see a con coming.
They fall for the logic of ignorance every time.
And it only gets worse, election after election.

The Trump kids, standing up there with their perfect white teeth and silky smooth white skin, convincing the ignorant voters that THEY CARE.
As if their Shet doesn't stink, they convince the ignorant that they are one of them. And the people eat it up.

Take the Trump rally of 4/29 in Philly.
Those poor saps sitting behind Donald as Donald pretends he is one of them.
Everyone knew why Trump refused to attend the Correspondence Dinner in Washington. Donald Trump is a wimp. Trump can't take criticism. Trump is like a little girl, and as thinned shinned as a little girl. And the poor saps standing behind Trump looking so poor they probably only came to the Trump rally because they couldn't afford to pay their electric bill and watch Trump at home on TV.
People looking so poor and so scraping the bottom of the barrel of hope, they go for the billionaire con artist feeding them line after line and bull after bull.
And they LOVE the guy......

America has reached a new low. As low as it can go.
And we have no knight in shining armor waiting to come to our rescue.
We will either be taken by the Soviets and the rule of communism i.e. freedom of speech, constitution, and individual rights ... or .... we will be nuked by an unholy foreign alliance yet to be determined.
And the latter will most likely be our destiny.
We fear North Korea, Putin, Iran, etc etc.
But the power that will eventually succeed with taking us out has yet to be determined.
And we won't know what the hell hit us once they do.

Give MA some props man, we started it.

But then take those props away, because Romney socialized medicine in MA, and he's a wise and beautiful woman.

There's just no hope left, I'm done here. Bravo, way to skirt the actual argument there.

Clear and cut example of someone with unconscious bias. Pretty disgusting if you can't even distinguish the difference between a proposed action and an actual action.

Someone needs to go back to grade school and understand how a bill becomes a law.
