found a used OEM CF rear spoiler on ebay, and got it in the mail yesterday, at first glance looked good/great, almost like new.

The seller installed some generic mounting tape to it, and I wanted to be safe so I proceeded to remove the tape to install some 3m adhesive.

As I was doing this I felt a small chip on one end of the spoiler Its really hard to tell from the outside unless you feel from it.

no crack was more of a part line.

I got the spoiler for less then 1/2 of the price of a new one, but I dont know if I would have bid on it if I knew of the damage.

What would you guys do?

Keep it. Decide now if you're the kind of person who expects perfection from a used part, if you are then you should be paying new prices and not terrorizing ebay sellers.

What are your expectations from this part? I assume we're not talking about a racing car here where performance and your life may depend on this part not failing and I also assume we're not talking about a show car either so I'd just live with it.

I wish more people would act like this. So many times I've gotten a ebay buyer who expected NIB condition on a used gadget or whatever. freaking annoying.

I was told it was in great conditions. And there was no mention of damage.

That said, at first look it seemed as as the crack went into the spoiler, and it doesnt. I'll get some epoxy into the grove to prevent it from spreading and call it a day.
