And don't forget their acidic pee that can destroy electronics, like one guy on Reddit had his expensive gaming PC trashed by his cat's toxic pee.

Never had a spiteful kitty I'm assuming?

(I too have owned multiple cats.... several of which were pretty spicy!)
I grew up owning dogs. I like cats too but never had them.

Can you discipline them? I'm sure the assholes know when the owner is happy or not. If you repeatedly say no and discipline the cat every time, I'm sure they get the message despite not being dogs.

I want to own a low-key cat some day maybe after kids grow up. All my doggie buddies have been all hyper as fack even with tons of exercises that make them literally pass out at home blissfully.

Depends on the cat. A guy in my office has all male kittens. He says they are A-holes but he still loves them.

A spray bottle of water worked well.
When our cats get mad, they just bite us. Of course, they also bite us when they are hungry, happy, sad, asleep, …
If our cats had bitten me, they would be hungry and sad (aside from playful bites that don't hurt).

Yes, we have successfully cord trained every cat but one and he's literally retarded. Cats know when we really mean "no". Saying no and removing them from the situation gets the message across. At most, we've scruffed them to make the point. They understand mama cat gestures.

Cats are 100x easier than dogs. You give them food, litter, and love and they are more or less independent. Dogs require nearly 24/7 attention, walks, strict feeding schedules, major dogproofing of house, having to wake up at night to let them out to pee etc and can't really be left alone for any long amount of time. It's kind of like having a toddler.

The floor? In your dreams!

I can attest to how spiteful a cat can be. Our cat recently got locked in our daughter's bedroom by accident for a few hours while we were out. When we got home, we found him in our daughter's bedroom and he left a gift on the middle of her bed. We keep reminding our kids to not close their doors unless they are absolutely sure the cat isn't in their rooms. Our daughter learned her lesson that day.

It's been playfully biting me sometimes

I'm trying to redirect it to a toy.
Good call, some cats just like to bite.
I am okay with one of our cats that bites simply because he just puts his teeth on me, there is no force and honestly it is a good indicator he wants to be left alone.
However you are doing it the right way @Gizmo j keep redirecting that.

That's how one of my cats is. Sometimes when he lays down next to me, he doesn't want attention, just proximity, and puts his teeth on me if I try to pet him.

Cats bite as a show of affection. It could also mean 'fuck off'. You need to be able to read the room.
