Got a job offer today

I've been with 2 companies since getting out of college. 1 had a 6 month, is a 3 month review common? I actually think I'd like this but I was wondering if this was normal?

My company does reviews every quarter to help determine bonuses. I like the regular feedback personally.

Look at it this way - if you suck, they're not going to wait for some arbitrary date to let you know. If you're good, there will be more opportunities for raises and bonuses more frequently.

We have quarterly reviews (mini reviews really) prior to someone leaving for an inspection trip. Its mainly just to check to see that reports have been written and were sent out, all of the upcoming trip paperwork was done, etc. The paperwork from that (2 pages of stuff) is used in the yearly review where raises are determined.

This is more a function of how our company operated. Our inspectors spend 5 weeks in the field and then 8 weeks at the office. Its sometimes hard to remember what happened between your last two trips as things sorta start blurring together.

It can be standard for a new person. Make sure you are acclimating well, that you are not getting overwhelmed, etc. Ask them if there's a raise associated with each of those review...
