Got a raise yesterday!

I started at $6.50 1.5 years ago as a bagger. Worked my way up to a cashier a year back. Yesterday I got raised from $7.50 to $8.00. Not bad for a senior in HS. My manager told me she'd start training me for higher positions if I increased my availablilty. Not sure if I want to yet w/ school but I might go ahead.

I just got back from a vacation and my wife got a $1200 a year raise and I got $500. She makes more than me. Yeah, that's a slap on the ass.

Lighter note though, my web company is in contract negotiation with a very large company for an aggregate service agreement. Can you say cha-ching?

I used to make 9.50 at circuit city while going through high school. Just started my freshman year at college and got a job at compusa. Its soo much better then circuit and I make 5x the amount. circuit city 2 week pay check = 250 bucks, compusa 2 week paycheck = $800 - $1,000 depending on sales.
