I put up some snap traps and the Rat could care less, when I turn the lights off sometimes I see it scrurry around and totally avoid the peanut butter filled traps. I know it isn't instant to catch them, but I can't stand waiting. The little fvcker seems to only want to stay in my room. which makes it worse.

Lowes has these Black N Decker things you plug into a wall outlet and they're supposed to drive mice and rats away, anyone used these? I'm havig problems sleeping because this little rat bastard is loose in my room and I can't catch it. I know the thing is so scared of me it won't come on my bed while i'm sleeping, but uhhh I'm still creeped out. It's very small, but gray so it's not a mouse right? I'm hoping small doesn't mean there are parentsand brother and sister rats

Last rat I had went for the trap the night I put it out. This one is smart or something, like that rat in the stupid Nathan Lane movie where he's the exterminator.

UGH RATS!

If it's small and cute, it's probably a mouse. And just because it's scared of you doesn't mean it won't jump on you in the night. Mice do that all the time. THey probably do it to me, but I have no idea because I'm asleep.

way to make me feel safe man I didn't say it was cute, it's small though. I mean a baby rat will be small. I dunno, it's fast as hell I saw it this morning and tried to chase it, wasn't sure what I would have done had I cornered it, but it got smart and ran under the washing machine. I tried to scare it out but it stayed there.

haha I never knew mice liked to jump on people when they slept, unless my scarcasam meter is broke today.

It's possible that they DO work. When I was living in Guantanamo Bay we had banana rats that liked to eat the wiring out of cars. I put one of those devices into the electrical outlet in our carport (which was four parking spots) and not a single car in the car port ever got "attacked" while the cars in the apartment block next to us did.

I also put one in our kitchen when we had a small rat that liked to visit us in the middle of the night. After I put it in we never saw it again (or any signs that it was actually IN the unit), but we could hear him in the wall on occasion.

Back when I was still living with my parents we had a mouse problem.

They would hide out under my bed,..... freaked me out at night when they would start making a lot of noise (mouse sex? I dunno)

So I bought some of those wall plug in thingies at Costco,....

First off,.... it doesn't play the same sound all the time,... had a bunch of sounds it would play at random so the mice won't get used to it.

Funny thing is,.... I could hear it myself sometimes at night when everything was really quiet...

ANYWAYS, I watched as the mice would come up to the plug in and check it out,...
You could tell they could hear it,... but they didn't seem to mind it that much.

In the end, I put a litterbox, some catfood, water and our 3 cats locked up in there for a day and a half.

That solved the problem.

Got him he was really small, maybe a mouse, just the tip of his head was in the trap, not sure when it happened because I wasn't here. But, I felt kind of sad, wish I had gotten the glue traps. He was almost cute at least I'll be able to sleep now.
