Got Busted

So my buddies and I were shooting this movie for an econ project demonstrating "Competitive Markets" and decided to make it a war scene. We went to a public park and did a few small sword battles which would be edited later. We also decided to bring our spud gun along to shoot once for a final ending point of the movie. This lady is walking by and we dont do anything, and like 30 min after shes gone, we shoot it and it went 5 feet..... dud. So we decide to can that idea and start filming other stuff. ABout 10 min later, 3 cop cars show up cornering us in this park. We also had a few airsoft rifles..... oops. They came and took all our stuff, and watched the movie and got a kick outta it and saw we did nothing wrong. They took our stuff and our names/phones numbers, we are all under 18. Can we expect them to call our parents at any time? They said if we want our stuff back, we have to come and get a parent to sign it out for us.

CLIFFS

-Went to public park to shoot econ vid
-Brought 2 airsoft guns and a spud gun
-Didnt shoot the airsoft guns, just used as props
-Shot the spud gun once while no one was there, went 5 feet
-3 Cops came
-They looked at out footage and said we were good to go
-The cops took our stuff and said we needed a parent to come with to get it back
-They took all our names and phone numbers
-Should we expect them to call our homes?

Edit: If you want your stuff back, isn't it a given that your parents will have to find out anyway??

I would prolly get in ALOT of trouble... dont ask, I just would. But if they arent gonna call my house ever I'm fine

Well either they're going to call or they're not...it doesn't really matter either way, since you have no control over it. This is why you should be careful of what you do when you're still young enough to "get in trouble".

the cops never called my house after "taking names and numbers", but I don't know how the cops are in your area...

my guess is that they have better things to do, I could be wrong though

You will get in less trouble if you tell your parents before the cops do. Always assume they will find out eventually, just ensure that they find out from you.

the funny thing is that they were joking around and told us how to make the spud gun better and how we didnt load it right..... I just dont wanna risk them calling

i'd get whichever kid has the nicest parents to go get all the stuff. Assuming the cops just put it all in one group, rather than seperating the stuff into who actually owns it.

no no, we dont care about that! The airsoft guns were like 5 bucks and the spud gun was crap... we just wanna know if we will get called about it

They wont call, i got in worse trouble than that last year involving 3 police jurisdictions and 10 cops, and no one called my house.

MAn we had a video camera, but no one was smart enough to hit record damn. BTW they did call my house, but they just wanted to know if they could destroy my 5 dollar guns. I said sure and told my dad it was nothing.
