I know how you feel... I just quit my job about 2 weeks ago, went through a similar things

Here's a classic example of how things went most of the time.

Customer: I want to warranty this product
Me: sir this is not our product it's not even our brand, goto the brands store get proper warranty
Customer: Impossible, I bought this product here and I expect warranty now.
Me: well do you have a receipt.
Customer: Of course I don't have a receipt who keeps these kinds of receipts.
Me: just a sec I'll see what the boss would do in this case.
Me: Boss client wants to warranty product we don't even sell and he doesn't have a receipt can we warranty it anyway.
Boss: NEVER what kind of place do you think this is, we don't work for free and just give away stuff. ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Me: oK then, sorry sir we can't warranty it
Customer literally blows a lid and I though he would pull a gun and shoot me on the spot.
Me: Boss can you come and deal with this, customer is somewhat agitated.
Boss: Sir we'll warranty this right away this time no problem.
Me: confused ???
Later
Boss: You don't have enough experience to deal with customers.
Me: WTF

When I was an apprentice, I was teamed with journeyman who made me want to drag him out into the parking lot and beat his face into a pulp everyday before we were two hours into the shift. I took his shit, day after day, but I learned more from him than any other I've worked for.

Here's another classic tale of the amazing adventures of Dipshit. Customer purchases an $11k kitchen. Our kitchen designer messes up and adds a pantry to the kitchen in the wrong size. The company we get these cabinets from don't even make this size pantry. Ok, so now all we have to do is explain this to the customer. Nope!

Dipshit decides to try and give them the wrong size cabinet from what they ordered. Explains to me and my co-worker to load up the wrong size cabinet and just walk away. I did it. This was over a year ago when I first started.

These customers are not stupid and decide to measure the cabinet that we just loaded. All hell breaks loose and Dipshit is no where to be found. Turns out he went to lunch. Nice....

I was on unemployment for almost 2 years at one point when I was laid off from my previous job. TN had just passed a law that would allow this if your job went over seas. I turned in to a complete mooch during that time. I hate myself for doing it.

Also, to file unemployment you need a slip from the company that laid you off before the unemployment office will do anything for you. Do you really think he'd hand over something like that to me?

3. Tell the customer that he is going to come out and deliver it himself as soon as it comes in
4. Offer a discount on their next purchase

This happened to a friend of mine. Worked for chimney/wood stove company. They did cleanings, installs, built fireplaces, etc. He loved the work liked his boss(the owner), was pretty much loving life. Then one day he goes to work a job with the boss and another fellow. Now this guy apparently smokes weed and makes no secret of it. His rule for his employees was as long as they don't do the same during business hours then whatever they do on their own time is fine. Well apparently they're building a brick fireplace. He's got my friend cutting the bricks and handing them to him and he's doing the mortar and putting the bricks in. Well I guess the frigging thing was coming out like crap. He's getting all ticked off about it and starts yelling at my friend that he's cutting the bricks to the wrong sizes. My friend looks at the work so far and it's obvious that the nitwit isn't leveling the brick and just laying them in by eye. The boss proceeds to curse him out in front of the customer(probably so he doesn't have to own up to his msitake) for doing a bad job. My friend is pissed now and points out the problem in front of the customer. That didn't make the boss too happy at all. Finally they're outta time and have to leave to come back and finish it the next day. They get back to the truck and my friend sees the boss's weed pipe sitting on the seat full of crud and still warm. Now he knows why the thing was coming out so terrible and asks the boss why the double standard on smoking? That sealed his fate and the douche canned him right there. I guess he should have known when to shut up.

I've worked for these people for too long. I know this won't happen. The father isn't a very reasonable guy himself. I caught him on the phone with a customer once screaming that he would "kick his ass" if he ever called his family(dipshit) liars again.

They used to be cool. There business is doing pretty horrible now. Not many customers and I can tell it's really weighing them down. Pretty sure that's where all this anger is coming from.

Dipshit is also a huge pothead. He's actually bought weed from my previous co-worker before. And yes, he smokes at work. He says it helps him sell better.
