Got in trouble with the wife last night for using her toothbrush for.......

This was over a discarded toothbrush.....you know the one you're never gonna use again, but it get's re-purposed for cleaning. She has one that she uses for cleaning around the toilet seat, at the hinges, where you need a "finer" brush to clean properly. I'm ok with that. If it works for her and helps her clean thoroughly, that's good.

Well, last night she walked in the bathroom and caught me running the sole of my shoe under hot water, while using her re-purposed tooth brush. She just totally freaked out at me.......while all that Dog shit was running down the drain. I don't get it!

You really need one of those toilet seats that twist on at the hinges and are very easily removed, leaving just a nub to clean around.

well the toilet seat is not the shitty part of the toilet, so it's not cool to brush dog poop with it, because you actually come in contact with it.
Btw I don't even know why would you need to clean the hinges of the toilet seat, unless you can't piss straight.

Also dog poop in the sink is not acceptable, you should do it in the garden with the water hose and a stick.

That's a big reason I hate dogs. I don't feel like dealing with dog shit, indoors or out. I got in trouble with my daughter once when I told her I brushed our long furred cat's ass with her toothbrush. Had her going for a little while :^D

Alright, it was a bit exagerated. I didn't bring a shoe with a big great dane sized turd on it. It was a small remnant of Chihuahua poo, most of which had already been scraped off outside. For those folks that don't understand this, the sink drain goes to the same place the toilet drain goes. Knowing this, I used the hottest water and a disinfecting soap. It was more like a couple little specks that went down the drain, to the main sewer, where the toilet also drains. I've been doing this for years, followed by hot water and bleach. It's not harmful in any way. Wife doesn't like it, but hygene wise, it's sound.

The issue more than likely is that your wife doesn't want you washing your poopie shoes in the sink where she likely washes her face and brushes her teeth. It's not the actual fact that the sink was cleaned/is clean, it's simply the idea of remnants of poop in a sink used for hygiene.

And about the sewer.....sure, everything goes down into the same pipe. By the same token, all the water entering your house comes in through the same pipes, but would you normally drink from your toilet bowl? Same water as what's in the sink.......
