the others move on to the "i really wanna be a car critic so I can say meh all the time forum" and dont forget your butt plugs to take with you.

I think you hurt the thread more than anyone else here.
I didn't see anyone really say anything that bad about it.

How do you like it? I bought my 2008 a few weeks ago (I personally prefer the old look and size), this is my first non-economy car and I LOVE it. The suspension is way too soft for my taste though, and I'm still having trouble with the clutch (way different from my old Civic), but other than that all's golden. I paid premium for it, but got the color/transmission combo I wanted (white w/black interior, 6sp manual).

People will get used to the looks, and technologically it's superior to the 2008.

I love it. Black on black, 6spd manual. Still don't know whether to listen to the radio, CD, XM, or iPod...too many choices, not enough travel time, and I find myself using the hands-free phone option a lot. The clutch isn't too much different from my old one, but I understand how it could present some trouble.

Sweet. I'm jealous of you 09 TSX owners, you guys get that USB port for flash drives/ipods, the 08's have no mp3 playback capability whatsoever..

welcome to the tsx club, and enjoy your first new car.. i'll take my black '06 tsx over your '09 any day of the week but that's just me, i think they completely ruined the look and style of the tsx, concentrated too much on flare and technology and not enough on style and performance.. they turned the thing into a boat :/

it's longer, wider, heavier, looks worse, and has a few less HP than the older model.. no thanks.

but enjoy the ride man, acura's are good cars.. have fun cleaning up bird shit every other day mine's black so i'm in the same boat. the cars look fly when they're clean though.

i would also recommend joining acurazine.com forums, it's where i've learned everything i need to know about my TSX, and also check out the wash/wax forum. they'll teach you how to properly wash and wax your car.

there's a 1/8" headphone AUX input in your center console along with a cigeratte power plug. i'm sure you have an ipod or mp3 player. i bought a belkin ipod car charger from amazon for $20 or so. it has the cigeratte power charger, a dock connector, a 1/8" plug and volume control on it, you then use a 1/8" patch cable that loops from the belkin to the AUX input.

A better idea...

Using a dock connector cable (like the one linked above) gives you two major advantages: better signal to noise ratio, and full line level volume to the car stereo. This means better quality audio, and not having to turn the volume up on the ipod every time you plug it in.

I highly recommend these cables. Most people don't know, or don't care, and use the typical 1/8 to 1/8 patch cable, but this is clearly a better option.

Thanks. I actually prefer the new style to the old, and performance isn't a huge deal to me (though the HP decreased by 4, the torque increased by 8). I got it because of the focus on technology, the style, and the fact that I avg. 35-36mpg in it. I'll definitely check out those forums. While I'm not into performance, I am into keeping my car looking its best.

the one i'm recommending has a dock connector built in

http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-A...&qid=1209663215&sr=8-2

additionally, since the dock is powering through the cigeratte adapter, when you turn the car off the ipod goes into pause mode and will eventually power off.

lol. I could've sworn I had some sort of deja vu. I remember Azurik bought a TSX a year or two back and he had his house (ahem..castle) in the background. This thread is following that thread. hahahahaha.

Btw, nice purchase, and enjoy your car. I'm still not used to the front end yet, but it'll probably grow into me. I'll most likely change my mind when I see it in real life.

Congratulations.

I was planning on trading in my '04 TSX once the '09s came, but I can't stand the new look. And, to add insult to injury, Acura removed the one feature on the TSX that I preferred over my parents RDX and RL: the touchscreen. The turn knob and button input system just doesn't compare to the touchscreen.

VERY cool. I've got an old 3rd-gen 15gb Ipod with an AUX cable and yeah, it's annoying constantly cranking the volume up. I was thinking of getting one of the DiCE units (if I decide not to keep XM), unfortunately it only supports 4th gen Ipods and above..

lol I will, I planned on washing/detailing it but it looks like it's gonna rain here the whole weekend. I need to do a photoshoot before ricers steal this car too (my '99 civic coupe was stolen a few weeks ago)...

Anyways, I bought mine a bit over 2 months ago, and HAD to have this color/tranny combo..there were only 3 on the east coast back then! I had to take a train to VA and drive it 250 miles home, but it was so worth it....

What?! You made me double-check the rated fuel mileage on it. That 35-36mpg is already 5-6mpg over the highway numbers.

My entire commute is highway, with two stop lights between the house and the plant. It's settled down to around 34mpg now, but that is what I am getting.
