The card is heavy, mostly due to the large copper heat-pipe heatsink on the top and the big copper plate on the bottom.

Here are some pics:

Here it is inside the case:

The UT2K3 Flyby at 1024x768:
UT2K3

Q3 1280x1024 full detail pulls 200 even.

There is no noise unless a 3d app is running, then it is quite loud. I'll be looking into aftermarket cooling.

No regrets!!!

Very, very cool looking! UT2k3 doesn't work.

I'm interested in one, I just don't have the cash to afford one

You will get alot of critizism here, I'd just ignore them, and Enjoy your card!

I'm jealous

The leadtek Geforce 5800FX Ultra should be the most quiet one maybe or one of the most quiet.

Loud, yeah but it sounds manly.

The drivers work fine for all the games I've tried, but 3dmark2k3 crashed at the end. I'll re run it later.

There are 2 fans in the back, one in the front and one in the side. There is enough airflow. The CPU is a 2.0A running at 2.4 (120Mhz bus). The memory is Mushkin Basic DDR266 with Thermaltake heatspeaders. It runs rock solid, with the CPU at 42C/110F. Airflow is not an issue.

It takes air from the outside of the case, so it doesn't matter...

Actually I like it. Keep the Corona away though, along with any domestic piss.

How DARE you start a thread, parading that sig of yours around like a cheap fake Rolex?

*snaps fingers*

Mods, do your thing. I don't want to see this thread here in five minutes - or the pizza party is canceled, and so is the gay stripper!

Do those sound absorbtion mats work well? I suppose they really take care of the humming noise, but how well does it fare with whining?

I did that and the Zaleman cooler at the same time. I had a stock boxed P4 cooler, but they really aren't that noisy. My 5 hard drives are 7200 RPM, so the goal was to do whatever possible to reduce overall noise.

I think the sound was reduced about 40% with the adition of those two items. Well worth the investment.

Yeah guys, and now his ears have mostly stopped bleeding, and he only wears the cheap earplugs to sleep now...no more shooting-range quality sound deadeners. But too bad he could never use those sound-sensitive neon lights...considering they'd never turn off.

Those are some low Unreal scores for a $400+ card, my $160 Radeon 9500 is just shy of your scores (155/52).
