got my 7900gts SLIs...I need a game with the best graphics

what are some games that are out. that have awsome graphics..im trying to see what my video cards can do. I want to see if there is a bottle neck in my sytem. Please see sig

Umm, There's always a bottleneck in a system. Just depends on the component.

I would have completely agreed with your statement but F.E.A.R. is by no means scary.

Well, it tried to be scary but failed miserably.

I don't think the graphics are that good either, just some very plain looking environments with fancy lighting effects. Try Far Cry with the latest patches...

Yeah I don't think you can ever reach that point where everything is at its peak, and iff you did it would be with older parts from diferent genrations. Like Maybe a Athlon 1400 with a Geforce 2 GTS and PC2100 memory or something like that. You almost never catch all devices at the peek of product design at the same time. For example HDD devlopment died for all intents and purposes years ago in terms of speed they keep going up but only by a few MB/s at a time.

Played it at a friend's house in the dark on a 20005FP...some parts of it are scary, like when people just appear out of nowhere and whack you

Oblivion is just terribly taxing on the system; doesn't look all that great outside of HDR.

Pick up FEAR if you haven't already, at least there's an easy benchmark tool in there.

why would you have a great system like that but hamper it with a 17 inch monitor?? its a shame those 2 7900gts will never get to shine past 1280x1024.

im kind of limited of my computer parts at the momment. Im currently stationed overseas and for some reason....companies will not ship a 19inch monitor to me. Its ridicoulus i know

Half-Life 2/Call of Duty 2/Quake 4/Need for Speed Most Wanted at max resolution/AA/AF are pretty impressive in motion.

Replace your 17" with a 24" or 30" widescreen flat panel. Right now the bottleneck is your monitor.

no,..not really,..lol,..myself, i ditched my lcd widescreen and have recently returned to my 19" crt

if your happy with the size then cool,.1280x1024 is a decent res for just about any game now and for games to come.you can always add higher quality with system headroom,.dropping a res below native,. or lowering any qualities on a game just to run at a rate thats above satisfactory is flat retarded,...which is mostly trivial depending on whos view of what "satisfactory" is..

imo your fine man as long as your happy with the end results performance wise

yea im happy with the way things look now. i just wanted to know if its like wow! that looks way better. For example going from 1024x768 to 1280x1080 looks way better. I dont really want a widescreen or anthing like that. Is there anything else i can do to make it look better on screen? (for exam screen refresh rates or something?}

You think 1024x768 to 1280x1080 looks "way better?" With 7900GTs in SLI, you should be at 1600x1200. That'll knock your socks off.

At least now you can run 1280x1080 at maximum quality and performance for some time to come without temptation, need, or ability to go into higher resolutions.

yer monitors an lcd isnt it?,.. if so then no your assed out on the refresh rate scene to put it bluntly,..lol when using anti aliasing,.. in nvidia drivers theres gamma correct anti aliasing,and transperency anti aliasing. in performance and quality/advanced view settings. enable gamma correct and try out super sampling and multisampling transperency anti aliasing in yoru games,... also you can change the image quality to "high quality" instead of default quality. thats what i use myself and it seems lately the peformance hit from it is getting smaller and smaller on geforce 7 cards( i use driver version 84.25 beta),.. also,. experiment with the different sli modes,.. google coolbits 2.0 and get it if you dont have it,it will open up all the locked options in nvidia drivers
