Yes, because they have so many dyno's in the desert.

Nice numbers Datt...not suprised at all that Ford under-rated the GT's output considering the outcry from Cobra owners many years when they came up short on the dyno. We all know that Honda and Toyota have been honest with their HP/TQ ratings lately, right?
Wasn't that a simple intake manifold replacement to correct the problem....at Ford's expense of course.
Yes it was the '99 Cobra - All of the cars received a new intake manifold, catback exhaust, and computer calibration to produce the as-advertised 320 hp. I think somehow we benefitted from that in our '05's
What mods do you have planned? So far, I've only added the FRPP/Borla axle backs and a strut tower brace. I have a cold-air kit on back order and still deciding on which computer tuner to get...I'm leaning towards the Diablosport Predator.
I'm looking at some Flowmaster Mufflers (Delta 40 maybe), Steeda pulley's, CAI (not sure which one yet) and I will probably go with the SCT Excalibrator 2 tuner. If my SO would let me, I would go for the CDC Shaker Intake.

I looked at the CDC Shaker kit as well - very nice, but pricey at $795 since they don't include a hood and you have to cut out your own opening. :|
Have you seen this shaker kit
from Fang Performance? I like this one better - has the old school look of the Boss 302's and 429's and late 60's Mach 1's.
I'm thinking about just getting a Roush hood scoop and then cutting a few holes to make it functional - but I need to find a way to direct that air to the new cold-air intake - I may just wait until someone makes a fiberglass hood that has the scoop ducted to intake.

Looking forward to see what you have planned for the spring.

First off, the ML350 guy, I had the car for like a week and downshifted into the wrong gear, but caught up to him shortly thereafter....as for you and your 50hp ride that weighs like 200lbs....you never smoked me, nor did you win....I recall seeing your headlight in my mirror.
Spring will be fun.

Thats what happens when you take off with no warning... and I do recall trying to get you to line up at the next lights and you decided to turn instead? That was the only time I didnt beat you, but then again I didnt expect you to give'er without warning.

It was a Dynojet. 30-40 HP variations seem a little much for a meager 300hp

Dyno Comparison
That's almost 30hp variance on a 350z, which is about 50hp down from you, and these are all calibrated dynos. 30-40hp is very common, especially among dynos that are not regularly tuned.

speaking of which, how do they Dyno 4WD cars? jack up the front so it's spinning in the air?
I actually asked the guy that...he said, if he can, he pulls one of the drive shafts out.

Are you insane? You will toast the center diff in a few seconds doing this.
Ever seen an AWD car? They ALWAYS say "Must be towed on flatbed, do not tow by 2 wheels".
This is because there is a limited slip component designed to keep the front and rear tires turning approximately the same speed. If you have a limited slip center diff it will burn up instantly trying to transfer power to wheels that aren't hooked up. If you don't have a limited slip the unhooked drive shaft will be the only drive shaft received any power as an open diff spins the end with LESS traction.
