July 21 is when mine should arrive, the wait is painful, to say the least, especially when i see others that have gotten theirs already.

Pardon me if you have to. But I always doubt Toyota's handling capability, they are just too blend for my taste.

Toyota reliability
Features galore
$16,500 loaded
Reasonably quick, 0-60 in 7.4-7.5 seconds

Need I say more?

Holy crap ! Is this only available in the USA ?!
I thought it was like $25,000 at least

nice car.....congrats That huge sunroof is impressive

How is the quality of the plastics inside the car?...i.e dashboard, door panels, etc. In the pic, it looks like the dash is hard plastic. Not knocking your car by any means, I am just wondering if the plastics are "quality".

trying to figure where Toyota cut corners to make this car so inexpensive for all the features you get.

Nice choice, and great car for the money. If I were getting one, I would also have chosen that color, and a MT. Enjoy!

Its called rice paper texture for the dashboard etc.... It's not hard plastic, but its not really soft either, well some of it is hard, but not much. The interior is deff quality, I have no idea how Toyota offers the lower price of these, they in no way cut corners. Part of it is they make some back with accessories, and nothing is factory features besides side air bags, color, and tranny, so I imagine that cuts down assembly cost a decent amount.

C&D came out with a review, and its pretty positive, they really had no complaints at all besides that it is a tad heavier then other cars in its class.

You've never driven a Supra or an MR-2 then, all of the ones I've driven have handled more than impressively, much better than the FWD japanese cars that are praised for handling on this board (the prelude comes to mind, and I've driven a fair shar of those as well).

Of course, those are both RWD cars, and the tC is FWD.

NFS4, did you buy a Scion tC too?

Upon more research, I like everything about this car except the side profile (but the front, rear, top, and offset angles all look good).

I'm very impressed at how much car you get for the money with the Scion tC. The quality... I mean, that's a 2.4L engine in there that's the same as from my RAV4!!! Usually it's more like a 1.6L or at most a 1.8L in this class.

It's the economist in me... I like to see efficiency: quality at an inexpensive price. I expect outrageous performance and quality in an expensive automobile, but to do so at a working man's budget is truly an accomplishment.
