You've never driven a Supra or an MR-2 then, all of the ones I've driven have handled more than impressively, much better than the FWD japanese cars that are praised for handling on this board (the prelude comes to mind, and I've driven a fair shar of those as well).
Of course, those are both RWD cars, and the tC is FWD.
I realize this, but luvya's statement encompassed all Toyotas, not merely the FWD ones. I felt the need to point out that for Japanese cars, Toyota has made several landmark achievements in handling between the original 2000GT, the MKIII Supra, and the mid engined MR-2.
Besides, anyone buying a car that handling is so large a selling point for is going to be in the market for RWD or AWD, and is unlikely that an economy car like the Scion Tc would be a strong contender. It's not fairly representitive of everything the Toyota company makes either.
