Got my new purple Droid Razr.....Now I know why everyone hates blur

TouchWiz 4 is actually excellent, much smoother than stock gingerbread and it has numerous tweaks that actually improve the user experience.

yea I didn't like the browser much; I mostly use xscope and sometime opera. I know a lot of people like Dolphin but that didn't work so well for myself. For video players I'm mostly use bs and dice. Dice is esp nice since it can handle blu-ray subtitles without conversion.

This razr is growing on me. Getting used to blur, its not as bad as i mentioned when I started this thread. Still prefer TW but this phone is pretty damn nice. It is noticably slower than the SGS2 tho and not just network speed. overall the gpu is noticably slower and the broweser is the pits. its extremely slow. will check other browsers to see.

I had a Razr for two weeks and with all the horror stories I really thought blur was gonna be bad but it wasn't that horrible. I got used to it quickly and i actually liked some of the battery features and such on it. The design on the Razr is awesome though. If it had a bigger screen to fill the gaps it would of been great. The overall phone felt sturdy and great in hand. The nexus feels cheap compared to it

No, the browser is extremely slow when compared to the sgs2. 25 seconds to open anandtech on the razr compared to 9 seconds on the sgs2 side by side comparison is, IMO, extremely slow.

Something is wrong with your razr or network then, because it took mine 6 seconds on 4g and about 10 on 3g

I don't think everyone hates Blur, most do. But there's a fairly active hacked MotoBlur rom that runs on HTC phones. So some people out there much really really like it.
