Purchased an '02 maxima through financing and had to get full coverage insurance. Quoted at $230 (cad) and I get a call from my company saying its gonna be $420 cause I've only had my G license for a year instead of 6 (which the dumbass CSR screwed up). They called me and gave me the bad news and I told them that the only reason I purchased the car was because of the low quote. They told me there was nothing they could do and if I cancelled with them I would have to pay a cancellation fee (as well as first and last for the next insurance company I decide to go with) They said they have 60 days to review the policy and make any changes. If they have 60 days to make any changes, by law, shouldn't I have 60 days also to review changes and switch if unsatisfied. This is really pissing me off, and I was tempted to go back to driving without insurance again (photoshop is your friend ). But all in all, I turn 25 in 8 months so I decided that I can afford it until then (which will go down to around $200) Anyone ever been in a similar situation?
