how did the kid get shot in the mouth? shouldn't happen with a mask on. if he didn't have a mask on, it's his own damned fault.

i was at a local tourny here, i was hanging back behind a bunker and some guy from the other team pushes me, jumps around the side and i end up getting about 10 shots to my right side (just below my armpit)... all from a AGD Emag. i have a few small marks from that still

That shot is pretty brutal. My worst shots have been 1) in the adam's apple (couldn't breath for about a minute, hurt really bad) 2) forehead 3) groin and finally 4) the crotch. Paintball really does hurt, hehehe. It doesn't help I usually played in 70+ degree weather, thats Hawaii for ya, I have never sweat so much in my life.

Hahah i can't believe you blasted his dad! Don't worry about the kid though, he'll be fine - my friends have gotten shot in the mouth plenty of times. The helm stops the paintball from actually coming in contact with the mouth, so the kid just ended up with a mouthful of paint, which is by the way, organic.

Dude, if he thinks he and his son are mature enough to play paintball, he also has to be mature enough to accept the fact that they *are* going to get hit by paintballs in various areas of the body - that is why there is protective gear worn for that sport. As another noted above, if the kid didn't have his mask on, it was nobody's fault but his own.

The father trying to FIGHT with people for playing the sport of paintball and shooting an opponent is the person who was acting irrationally!! He should have told the kid to get up and quit being such a wussy so that the game could continue.

And for the whole kid+father+thinking it's cool to unload on someone who's obviously upset... that's messed up. I've been paintballing a few times, and every time someone gets hurt, we stop, and help out, it's just courtesy. If you're so caught up in the game you don't wanna do that, well I personally think that's messed up. It's like Sap trying to justify that hit on Clifton, who care if it's legal, it's uncalled for.

Now that would be more fvcked up. None of us are gunna say it wasn't me dude, it was him (and point to our friend).

We did stop. It wasn't like the kid and his dad were right next to each other. We all ran over to the kid to see if he was all right...when the dad got there he got all "Which one of you fockers did it?" and started wanting to go right there. It wasn't like the kid was shot and we all started laughing.

the one on my arm was bleeding thru my jersey (which had thin padded elbows), looked a lot worse than the shot on bare skin posted here.

THere is this thing called a PaintBall mask. My team (and myself!!) won't play unless everyone has a proper mask in working order. No cracks, in the lens, nothing. That being said, I can see why the dude got unloaded on...

yeah, I should have pointed that out in my post. We used to paly with a t-shirt in the pouring rain. Anything goes. That what teh mask is for.

i've only ever been once some idiot on my team made everyone follow him down the middle (was in the woods) but i thought that was a bad idea so i hung back to defend our flag. After they all ultimetly got surrounded and shot, i was left defeding this fort part on my own. I was just covering the front, then some women sweeps round and unloads all her paintballs into my back. hurts like hell, though luckily i'm in the uk where we probably use crappy guns compared to the US.


and in regards to the paintball in the face thing (which i found quite funny) when u enter the field, u have acknoledged that u are prepared to get hit, and it is going to hurt. Where i went, headshots didn't count, but it doesn't mean that if u pop u're head up and start shooting, that people won't shoot back.
sounds like he got some paint in his mouth, and his dad is an ass. meh.
