I have two weeks off work, and am thinking of cruising up the North East Coast since I've never been. I was thinking of visiting Atlantic City, and driving up to see New York, but unsure where to go from there. Is it worth driving up the 95 along the coast up to Maine? I'm sure it's beautiful this time of year.

I-95 isn't worth it, but the rest of new england certainly is. You should definitely keep going, but find places that are off the highway a bit.

Be easier to help if you told us the timing and also what you are most interested in seeing (cities? countryside? nature? mountains? ocean? etc.)

I95 is terrible - you couldn't pay me to drive that stretch.

If you're looking for hiking/nature, go north and stay north - Maine, VT, NH are all beautiful this time of year.

If you're looking for people, go to NYC/Boston/Atlantic City/DC.

I'd go with what consolibyte said. You can do DC, then Atlantic City, then NYC, and then Boston. If you're looking for more nature, try the Adirondack Mountains. The leaves have started changing and it looks awesome.

I'm starting my second week "off" (making up for overtime - they don't pay) today. You can do what I do... nothing.

with 2 weeks off i would fly somewhere warm and on a beach rather than staying on the east coast.

I'd suggest Cape Cod (MA) if it was earlier in the year, but a lot of the draw is the freshwater ponds and ocean, it's probably too cold now.

you can hit up most of the casinos in the east coast. Atlantic City, then Foxwoods, then Mohegan Sun, then Turning Stone up in NY, then the 3 in niagara falls area.
