*cough* Well for MY work I certainly struggle. I can't stand a lot of CRTs now. In the past year I became sensitive to that high pitch that happens when they turn on. Of course, they're all usually a little older.
I see you are running a Mac, Photoshop on the Mac is 32-bit only right now (CS4). So it can only address 4GB of RAM. I don't know how many cores it will use, I would be surprised if it's more than two.
