I've heard of it. Not only that, I've seen it. When I was in my twenties I participated in a rescue operation at White Pass here in Washington.
Hundreds of starving animals; emaciated to the point that they looked like skeletons; fur falling out all over their bodies; infections that created open oozing sores. In short, the kind of stuff that would make a guy like you cry.
Despite our efforts, most of these animals died, many while we were trying to get food to them. We could do nothing but watch as they'd gasp for their last breath, and convulse in pain.
You tell me that is more humane then hunting. YOU are the one who is ignorant.
And, BTW, I don't hunt. I never have simply because I, personally, could not shoot an animal. But, that experience convinced me beyond a shadow of a doubt that hunting is a GOOD thing.
