The package was finally delivered yesterday!

le sigh...

That's got to be the most ridiculous mis-shipment I've ever seen. It's supposed to be delivered in Dallas TX I assume and ends up being delivered to an AIR FORCE BASE in Massachusetts?!

That is correct. Thankfully the merchant has agreed to ship a replacement, but I haven't received that yet. Should have it by Monday...

I hate USPS, I'm kind of hoping they'll die the rest of the way soon. Around here they only have community mail boxes at the end of the street to save money on delivery drivers. Then they deliver crazy amounts of bulk mail and won't let me opt out (you have to contact the senders). I clear out my box once a week and get 1, maybe 2 pieces of mail and the rest bulk and credit card offers; but the box is usually full. Sometimes they'll put 2 weeks of junk mail in one week to mess with me, I guess they want me to pick up more.

why do you think the post office has any control over what other people send to you?

It's large volumes of unaddressed mail. Easily 5 times as much as real mail that has my address on it, probably more.

USPS is the shiz, you just have to have patience. They'll mail a letter to Alaska or Puerto Rico for less than half a dollar, who else does that?

So the package was accidently dropped into a CA shipment box.

IF this happened continually, then it is an issue.
A one shot; no big deal.

You are not perfect; how would you expect a government run organization to be.

It's not just USPS, either. I once had a UPS package, that I was really badly wanting to be delivered, make it all the way to the UPS sort facility for Texas, in Mesquite, which usually means you'll get it the next day.

Except, for some unknown reason, it then went to Louisiana (Baton Rouge, I think), where it was caught, and sent back to Mesquite the next day, and delivered to me the day after that, adding 2 days to the delivery time!

When I complained to UPS, they sorta shrugged their shoulders, and said, "We still got it to you in 7 to 10 days, you have nothing to complain about".

That's why they're broke.

Technically, they are correct. If you want something faster, pay for expedited shipping.
