gotta new mobo/cpu combo.... is this right?

ok..so i got a xp 2200.. with an albatron mobo and kingston pc2700 512mb... the mhz is running at 1350... is that right? if so.... thanks and nm the problem... but if im doing sumtin wrong... how can i fix it?

i left everything at the default settings... please help.. thanks..

go into the BIOS and raise the FSB to 133MHz

I'm not sure how these things are read by the motherboards but the XP 2200 is 1800MHz from what I read.

133 1/3MHz FSB * 13.5 = 1800MHz
100MHz FSB * 13.5 = 1350MHz
3/2(1800MHz) - 500 = 2200+
(PR rating formula up to the 2400+)
If it is a 2200+ running at 1350MHz, it's running 100MHz front-side bus, not 133MHZ as it should be.

maybe i got jipped... the box wasnt open... so it has to be a 2200... unless it was repackeaged somehow...

cause for sure it is set at 133 fsb...

d/l a new bios for the mobo, should allow it to be recognized.

Try again.
There's no way the FSB can be 133 and the CPU frequency read out 1350MHz
With a 100MHz FSB, it can end in 00 or 50, since the multipliers raise in 1/2x incriments. With 133MHz, it'll either be 00, 33, or 66 (maybe 67, since it technically should be 66 2/3). You might have set it to 133, but it's not running at that.
Get AIDA32 (Motherboard->Front Side Bus Properties->Real Clock) or WPCPUID to chekc if you want.

thanks guys... you were right... i swear i did it... i even checked it like 3 times... but it was at 100... now the highest i can get it is 132... but im not complaining!! thanks again doods..

something's wrong if you can only get 132. I wouldn't question in much if it wouldn't let you overclock, meaning above 133...but not even getting 133 is not right for that mobo.

Look in your manual,I am willing to bet there's a jumper you need to move to get above 132mhz, a 100/133 jumper to get 133mhz + .
