I'm not 100% sure this is the right place to post this.

I haven't installed anything new recently, but something started playing an audio ad while I was playing BF3, which has happened once before, and it's annoying as shit to hear some dude with a british accent talk about some "webx" thing to do with meetings while I'm playing a game.

What the fuck is going on, and how do I make it stop. I found out it's "gozilla" because I alt-tabbed as soon as it came up, and went into the mixer, and the only thing there I didn't know about was this gozilla thing, the rest was system sounds, steam, and the ESN Sonar stuff related to BF3 for VoIP.

Quick scans revealed nothing other than some browser tracking cookies. Running full scans as well.

MSE has flagged some stuff in the past in the HP games folder as a trojan, under a "plants vs zombies" subfolder that didn't appear to exist. I wiped out the entire HP Games folder via shift-delete, if that actually did anything...

here's the log from hijackthis when I ran it last night at the request of someone in the reddit post I started in r/techsupport

someone in another forum suggested that it might be related to BF3, because they thought that in star trek online there were sometimes audio ads that were something like "voice chat brought to you by (insert sponsor name here)"

Update: found that shit finally.

It seems to have been installed by Gomez Peer, which I had installed several months ago. I'm not sure why it never came up until the past week, but I think I'm uninstalling that shit right quick, as it's annoying as hell.

Good move. Also might want to run rkill followed by combofix one time just to be sure.
