Having an issue with GPO's I do believe. Have created a Mandatory Profile, which is stored on an NT 4.0 DC. For some reason, when the profile is downloaded upon login, it is stored locally as a Profile of type Mandatory until reboot. This causes problems, as if any changes are made, and the user logs off and back on before rebooting, the changes remain. I am trying to setup a lab environment where this does NOT occur.
The current machine policies set are:
Computer Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ System \ User Profiles:
Delete cached copies of roaming profiles - Enabled.
Only allow Local user Profiles - Disabled.
Computer Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ System \ Logon:
Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon - Enabled.
And in Local Security Policy, under:
Local Policies \ Security Options:
Interactive Logon: Number of previous logons to cache (in case domain controller is not available) - 0.
Logically this should do what I want it to do, which is download the mandatory profile to the machine, then delete it upon logoff, so no changes will be saved. Any ideas? Please Help!
