GPS Vaio for $525 Thread....

I know the MODS locked it. BUt I think it will be prudent to leave the thread going. There are some people who took a chance and bought from them. We are all interested to see what will happen. As far as I know, NOONE has been "Scammed" by them yet so can we not indict them before the facts come out? IF they do honor this, its the best HOT DEAL in years. Let it go MODS?

was about to risk it, but just tried this out.

try to buy a pda or something else from their site and it takes you to yahoo shopping (why are the laptops not on there?)
Also allows you to pay with credit cards through ccnow.com (what is this?) so could these charges be disputed directly?

All this makes me wonder if they sell small things legitimately and just try to do some shaddy business on the laptops.

Well, they are still around for a reason. Most likely people either get their stuff eventually or they get their money back. We will see about my order. Worst comes to worse, Amex will take care of it.

I hope it doesn't have to come to that. I spoke to that guy Holmes and he seems like a good guy. I am thinking I may gett hese afterall. I will give him a month or so.

Again, I took a chance too. BUt he gave me a time frame. If he doesn't deliver in that time fram, Then I aks for me money back with Amex. If he delivers it, then A. I got a great deal and B. Maybe this guy is turning his business around. Oh well, I will keep you guys posted.

I didn't feel safe ordering, & I was pissed @ my one friend, so I showed him the "hot deal". He pounced on it, and ordered a sony laptop. Needless to say, its been 2 weeks & he hasnt received any product.

Yup, I will have until about end of Feb to contest this. Already verified with Amex. I am gonna give them a chance before I judge them. I have plenty of time to get my money back if he doesn't deliver. But again, I am gonna give these guys a chance.

For those of you who want to dispute charges with Amex: you funded paypa with your amex, thus you received what you were supposed to receive: paypal "credits". So Amex will have no reason to take the money back from paypal. So the only thing you guys are left to do is go through paypal fraud proceduress and I heard nothing but horror stories about paypal disputes. Do you really think paypal will refund you fully? From where? They can freeze GPS computering paypal accounts but chances are, they already took their money out of the account and out of the checking account connected to paypal..
