GPU bios volt mod

I've got a normal Gainward 8800GT.
I changed the vcore from 1.05v to 1.1v via Nibitor.
Everything went well and I could oc a bit more(to 729/1782)

I ran the usual test: 2h furmark xtreme burnin, 1h loop 3dmark vantage@high.
Everything was just fine. I played and there were no issues.

Then I wasnt @home for a month, after I came back I saw a new nvidia driver release so I installed it. afterwards i played crysis warhead and after 5 minutes freeze, had to restart.
Started Fallout 3 and after 5-10 minutes the same...

So does a new driver reset the bios settings so the gpu voltage goes back from 1.1v to 1.05v?

Nvidia has released something like 3 sets drivers in just the last couple of months, you almost need a score card. A new set of drivers, could indeed negate your v-mod. I have read on many a gaming forum about 1 set of drivers improving gameplay on a certain game, while making others UNplayable. I, myself have first hand knowledge of this. All of the newer games, and their engines vary. Some don't take kindly to an overclock of the gpu, and/or the cpu, shader, and mem, while other darn near demand it. Using the drivers you have, experiment. How are other games playing? Is there are patch for the game? A freeze, or lock-up is often heat related, especially the nvidias, get anywhere near 80c, and,---nothin,(yeah, I know you ran a test, but ya know, I'm just sayin), However, a blue screen with an error warning is a horse of a different color. I read where one guy rolled his drivers all the way back to 174. something, or other to play Crysis, *on his machine*. I suggest you go to a Crysis forum for your intervention.
