Tell us the specs of your system. It always helps. I agree about budget also.

There isn't an budget but it's NOT going to play games and so on, that's why I didn't think budget would be required.

CPU: Intel i7-3770
RAM: 16GB DDR3
MOBO: ASUS P8Z77-V
PSU: 550W Corsair

Thanks.

Get a used R9 290 or R9 290x then if budget isn't a priority. The R9 290(x) will be able to run triple 1440p easily and you will also be able to play some games on multi monitor (7680*1440 eyefinity) with decent graphics quality.

But maybe it is too overkill for your needs.

If it's not for games I guess it doesn't matter much what card you get.

r7 360, gtx 750(ti), r7 370, gtx 950 are all available in versions with enough connectivity afiak.

Yeah, and I'd require to upgrade PSU too.

From Guru3d

The before and after wattage will tell us roughly how much power a graphics card is consuming under load.

Our test system is based on a power hungry six-core Intel Core i7-3960X Extreme Edition Sandy Bridge-E based setup on the X79 chipset platform. This setup is overclocked to 4.60 GHz on all cores. Next to that we have energy saving functions disabled for this motherboard and processor (to ensure consistent benchmark results). We'll be calculating the GPU power consumption here, not the total PC power consumption.

Power consumption AMD Radeon R9-290

System in IDLE = 128W
  1. System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress = 372W
  2. Difference (GPU load) = 244W
  3. Add average IDLE wattage ~10W
  4. Subjective obtained GPU power consumption = ~ 254 Watts

Keep in mind ---> average PC, you have a i7 3770 (non-k)

Here is Guru3D's power supply recommendation:

  • AMD R9 290 - On your average system the card requires you to have a 550 Watt power supply unit.
  • AMD R9 290 Crossfire - On your average system the cards require you to have a 700 Watt power supply unit as minimum.
  • AMD R9 290X - On your average system the card requires you to have a 550~600 Watt power supply unit.
  • AMD R9 290X Crossfire - On your average system the cards require you to have a 800 Watt power supply unit as minimum.

But I agree, the GTX 950 or R7 370 will do the job and be around 40$ cheaper than a used R9 290, they have enough port too...but for me I would prefer something with the GPU power of a R9 290. You will have 3 x 1440p monitors, why not be able to play multi-monitors with 40-60$ more. You can easily play 7680x1440 games with a single R9 290. Some games like CS:Go can run at max settings 7680x1440 with a single R9 290. Only newer triple AAA games will require you to set the game at Med-High settings and remove Anti Aliasing, less need for it at 1440p.
The R9 290 used can be had for 200$ shipped. (My 2 cents)

He said it's not going to be for games, it's for an office.
