The games in consoles cant use beyond 6 cores.

GPU.ru is the most fishy reviewer site out there. So many benchmarks they have done which have been way off what other reviewers have posted.

I dont understand why people give them credit.

Well, they are the one site that I have found that tests almost every game that comes out very early with such a wide variety of graphics cards. Really irritating though that with so many gpus tested, they only test 2 generation old intel cpus. Not that it would make much difference perhaps, but I would like to see the numbers.

I too would like to see such a wide range of tests from another site. Just as an aside, sure seems like this site has a dearth of reviews like this lately. Seems like all they test is components, not really tests like this.

My 7950 is crying from within its box, and the 4670K is scared that it won't even be bought. Dang.

If Mantle ends up requiring an AMD CPU, I'm gonna wait a bit on buying this game.

I agree the 770 should come down about $50, but just because a couple of 7970 skus are selling cheap with a 1000mhz core doesn't mean the 770 is ridiculously over priced on a sku by sku basis.

$290 after $20 rebate. The card isn't an "official" GHz model because it was released before there was a GHz model, but with a simple dipswitch on the board there is a factory 1GHz setting.

I agree, but GPU.ru still deserves props for the sheer amount of testing that they do.

On another note, I'm happy to see that the Frostbite 3 engine is very optimized for multicore :awe:

Really ? All i see in those benchmarks is how amazing choice i5 CPUs are.

They run as fast as AMD 8 cores in best case 8 threaded scenario and you don't have to suffer laughtable performance in anything that uses less than 8 cores.

Looking at their charts, I'm more concerned about the console's GPUs. The 7850(PS4) is in the middle to low end of the chart, and doesn't deliver playable frame rates at all. Didn't see the 7790(XB1) on their charts, but if the more powerful 7850 can't hack it . . .?

The new consoles are supposed to last 10 years . . . and they can't deliver performance in today's titles?

BF4 will be at 720 plus you know the consoles will be more efficient than an equal gpu in pc. still the consoles will look like a joke in 5 years nevermind 10.

Consoles will most likely have frame cap at 30fps. 7850 is plenty for maxed 1080p. It scores 31 average fps in 1080p and MSAA4x, which is just over a cap.
Consoles are not PC. Rendering graphics on consoles and PC are as similar as taking a bath and taking shower - in both cases you get wet, but one uses more water

These charts don't show console performance. They show PC performance.

Even if the two have similar hardware, developing for both of them is not the same thing.

Crysis Ryse will run at 900p. Not to mention dynamic downscaling.

So no, they cant even run todays games at the expected settings.
