"Have 'user profiles' been configured in Outlook?"
IF 'User profiles' refers to single place: then yes.
IF 'User profiles' refers to multiple places: Shouldnt it be "Have the user profiles been configured in Outlook?"
Huh?
Shouldn't it be:
"Has user profiles been configured in Outlook?" <- Singular "user profiles"
"Have the user profiles been configured in Outlook?" <- Plural "user profiles"
Has vs Have in singular vs Plural:
Has the car been washed?
vs
Have the cars been washed?
Fixed.
It's clear in his example that the person asking the question is referring to something specific.
"Grammar question; is this incorrect?"
Title of the thread is ironic.
"Grammar question: is this correct?"
Should actually be "Grammar question: is this incorrect?".
Colon here would be more appropriate.
