Gran Turisomo 5: Terrible Driving Game, or Worst Driving Game Ever?

Video game enthusiasts don't see GT5 quite the same as car enthusiasts. If you are looking for something like Mario Kart/NFS/Forza, then GT5 probably isn't for you. The guys who drive real world cars on the track and want a simulator of that, GT5 is probably what they are looking for.

Sorry I have been driving fast cars and bikes all my life on and off the tracks..
I think they paid for those "reviews" Forza is a much closer experience than GT5 ever has been.
and the tuning in the advanced screens of Forza really helps getting the models close to their real life counterparts. Forza team had numerous race drivers consulting on the models as well as the rest of the sim it is not even close to an "arcade game" as you put it.

GT5 had everything to loose.. they were behind several generations the reviews are "too good" for such a mediocre showing and that leads me to believe the payoffs for good reviews extends past the video game press to anyone that could spread good reviews.

the game is severely lacking in alot of areas.. its not the glowing product people are saying it is.

Haha, are you serious? Don't pretend like GT5 is a good car sim, and is thereby not at fault.

If you view GT5 as a car sim you need to hit the road, my friend.
