Grandfathered in with Verizon Wireless Data

Verizon actually sells their 4G lte as home internet replacement. http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/homefusion/hf/main.do What is amazing is how much they charge for so little data. On Comcast I have 350gb per month for $50. Verizon is offering 30gb for $120 per month.
So, to say the provider can't support the infrastructure is false. They can, & want to, but at the same time rip off the customer.

Ever think that the high cost per GB is to deter excessive use until they can upgrade capacity USING the money they make from the higher cost? My problem is that the Net Neutrality exemption and traffic shaping allow them to get away without upgrading as much as is truly needed and stifle future applications.

I'm only on page 2, but I don't understand how some of you can use so much bandwidth sometimes. I thought I used a lot. I stream music in my car and sometimes Netflix, I watch about an hour if TV at work through Sling almost every work day, I stream a show during lunch using AirVideo and I still only hit 5-6GB a month max. Even now I'm at 4GB with 1 day left in my cycle. Maybe iOS apps are just way better data management?

For me it was that since I had unlimited and was paying for it, I was going to use it all the time. I never used WIFI on my Verizon 4G phones. I would do almost everything on the phone. Stream TV episodes, or I'd download them and then upload them to Dropbox. Most of my data usage was/is from Dropbox and caching videos for local viewing. Stream sports, when you've got NBA League Pass you tend to watch a lot of games, often on the go for me so that meant on my phone.

I've since adjusted things with my Nexus 4, making sure to use WIFI at home and work and that has basically killed most of my mobile data usage. I'm not able to really stream basketball games away from WIFI anymore, but I knew that would be the case. Verizon's LTE was so fast and so widespread that I just simply had no need to use WIFI.
