Grantsdale/Prescott evaluation

So, I got this box yesterday (2.8GHz, btw), and threw Seti right on it. Imagine my surprise when I started checking WU numbers, running 2 processes on the box:

This is a 2.84 average for a WU, running 2 processes. I'm floored! (12WU in the past 12 hours, according to SetiSpy, and they're all 100%, so they were complete).

Yeah,

one of the Dpad members (kokomo) said that he was getting 22-24 WU/day out of his 2.8 P4E but it was slower on DPAD.... so i guess that it all really comes down to what kind of calculations are occurring.

about $450 for CPU, MB, and memory from NewEgg. I kind of wish I had done this instead of my 2500 --> 3200 Barton with DFI LP IIB. I am only getting 12 WU's a day out of her.

I'm glad to see this kind of production. I've got a 3.2Ghz Prescott Dell coming my way in the near future. Probably won't be quite as fast since Dell runs conservative, but I'll take those kinds of numbers any day.

2 processes, meaning the 2.8E is HT? I thought I read that it wasn't going to be - only 3.0 and above. Given you got it straight from Intel, and likely on an intel board, no overclocking happening, right?

I bought a Toshiba notebook back in Oct and it has the P4 2.8 w/HT. It does 12 to 15 WUs per day. With SetiDriver it automatically runs two processes. Gotta love it.

Other items that I can't actually go into. It IS a HT enabled box, yes. I haven't checked the bios to see if it's an OCer, but I'll be doing that shortly (was out of town yesterday, so didn't have time to look at it).
