Why does this happen? I did not allow it to overheat, hell, I haven't had it overclocked in 6 months probably.
Of course, I've tried everything (turning off AGP settings, et cetera)... But it still doesn't make any sense...
I will post a picture of the corruption that happens, but if you've ever overclocked a video card too high, thats exactly what it looks like. Pixels in places they shouldn't be, fux0r3d colors, and crashes within 2 minutes of getting to windows (fresh install btw, to take that out of the equation).
Even the "Windows XP Professional" starting screen is screwed up like that, but its like only a few pixels are hosed.
When the computer crashes, eventually it reboots, and says my Ti4600 is the problem (using 30.82's WHQL, best for IQ).
ARGH!
I can't afford a new video card, at all... please tell me there's something stupid I have overlooked...
On a side note, my friend had a Ti4200 that did similar things after 3 months of running it, and they had already gone out of business... I tried taking off the heatsink and using AS3, same for the memory sinks.. but that didn't work... I've already done the same on my card though (did it a WHILE ago). Eventually gave up on it and threw it out.
