Graphics Card Help

I have an older system that I'm having problems with a new grx card.

MSI K7Turbo LE.
Online Specs say it supports AGP 1/2/4x.

I bought a grx card today to test out---PNY GeforceFx 5200. And I can't get a post at all. The computer I'm upgrading does work fine---I put the old card back in and it boots right up.

It says it requires AGP 2.0 or 3.0. Am I correct in assuming that 2.0 = AGP 4x?

From what I've read so far, it looks like the card should run in my PC @ 4x w/ no problems. Am I missing something?

The manual for your motherboard says that it has an agp 2.0 compliant agp slot so they should work together.
What are the system specs of the machine you are trying to install this into?
Do you have the most recent bios installed on the motherboard?

BIOS is the latest....it must be a dead card b/c I have two identical machines (same board, proc, ram, etc) and neither one would post.

Gonna try and exchnage it manana & see if that fixes it.

Are you getting video error beeps or nothing at all? If the system won't POST it could be RAM seated incorrectly, processor, etc...hook the speaker up and check manual for beep codes (or website).

I did take out all the other cards, and only have one stick of Memory to test with. I reseated the memory and put my old card in and she boot right up.

By No Post I mean I'm getting Video Error Beeps and my MOBO LED REports a 0001 Error which means VGA Card according to the manual
I had hoped there was a jumper I needed to set for AGP 4x, but I couldn't find one. AGP 4x is enabled in the BIOS.

Yeah it shouldn't be any problem with your system. AGP 3.0 (8x/4x) is backward compatible with AGP 2.0 (4x/2x/1x) transfer modes, so most 8x cards should work in 4x slots.

Yep---
it was a dead card. Had to refund my money since no more were on the shelves *#*@@. $65AR for that card was ok by me. Ended up finding same card @ Sams for a little more and it worked perfect first time out.
