Heh I've had to mess around with replacing a battery for a '96 Dodge Viper. Now that thing was a pain. You had to take off the tire just to get access to the battery. It was fun driving it though

Heh, the old Citroen SM was worse when it came to sparkplugs anyway. You had to lift the engine to change 3 of them (Transverse Maserati V6).

I'd almost rather have it out in the open so if someone tries to steal it they get a 50-70 dollar battery instead of busting up 500-700 worth of other things to get to it.

heh, I'm not sure there's anything easier in a car to change than the battery.

Heh I remember my old VW Beetle that I had in college had something draining the battery while the car was parked so until I figured out what it was I just left the back seat unlatched and would reach back there and unhook the negative when I parked. It has never taken me more than 10 minutes to remove and replace a battery in any car I have owned.

A word of advice. 1967 Mustangs don't like it when you hook the terminals up the backwards...

LOL! Neither does a 1988 Ford Econoline.

Haha! Same with a VW Jetta.

1994 Holden Commodore. Oh so easy to change.
If you had trouble trying to remove it, why didnt u just do a google search on "removing battery from <car model>".
There is heaps of car howto documentations online. It beats paying $15+

I have to figure out how to *get* to mine - after that it shouldn't be too hard. But it's underneath the windshield-wiper reservoir. The car is a 1995 Buick Regal GS.

Never had to change my battery yet... I change my own headlamps and fog lamps and turn signals though.
