I found some Greasemonkey scripts, and I thought I should share them with you.

Again, I don't take any credit for these scripts. I've merely found them on userscripts.org .

For anyone that doesn't like Firefox, there is Trixie which seems to be similar to Greasemonkey and works by using the exact same scripts. I have no idea how well they work though, and how reliable Trixie itself is. If anyone can let me know how it goes, it would be appreciated. TIA

updated: With two more scripts, and changed the formatting of the list to show who the authors were.
~*If there are any updates, you can PM me, just in case I don't see this forum, and if any of the scripts have a revision made, let me know as well.*~
updated: Added three more scripts, and edited that the "My forums link goes to your latest posts" now doesn't kill the reply button. If yours does, then download the script again.

Yea I was going to make a post for those later but got sidetracked. Hopefully they work for everyone, it was my first time messing with greasemonkey and css so they can probably be improved on.

Hmmm....how the heck do you get the bullets to work on this forum? It doesn't seem to work properly.

Apart from that I have a Greasemonkey request, specific to AT.

I want to get the percentage of people that have replied to the topic, compared to the amount of the people that have read it, in a separate column, maybe next to the views column. Is that possible by Greasemonkey?

You must use the beginning and ending bullet tags, with single list tags in front of each bullet point within those bullet tags.

I can't get these things to install. I've never used Greasemonkey so I installed that. Then I click on the install button and the yellow info bar pops up saying that I need to click the install button since it's a greasemonkey script. I do that, but nothing happens.

When you're on the page with the source code: go to Tools > Greasemonkey, and then click the install button.

Some of then don't work with the install button for some reason.

I had a few problems installing. I had to shut down every Firefox window, (i.e. a complete restart) then the Install button on each of the pages worked.

  •

These 3 scripts make the new forums a lot easier to use. I hope someone can write a shrink script for the icons and wasted space in the threads/posts section of the page.

All of these issues should still be dealt with properly by FuseTalk though.

I still can't get it to work. Maybe greasemonkey doesn't work right in Linux.

You can also drag and drop the files into Firefox, that worked for me. I'm using v2.0.0.4 on XP32.

Sweet job hg403, nice. I was working on trying to figure those out but my JS is lacking. I am going to update my code to use some of your ideas because it is less processor intensive on the xpath expression. You are also one heck of a lurker, with less than 20 posts. I can't PM you because you don't have them enabled. But damn nice job you did

sure, you just add a column programmaticly. I was going to do the exact opposite to remove the star ratings.

Anyone care to make one that will get rid of the user ratings?

Manually go to Tools->Greasemonkey->Install User Scripts.

I can't get the little "Install" tab to work correctly.

The thing is, that Install User Scripts thing wasn't there. The only way I finally got it to appear was to close Firefox, open it, click the install thing on the page, then click the install on the info bar that pops up, and THEN Tools->Greasemonkey->Install User Scripts appeared.

Also, a script that gets rid of the stupid thread ratings would be great if anyone cares to make one!

Well...I have no skills whatsoever, so I need someone else to make it for me. It's just something that I'm interested in, to see the popularity of the thread.

Anyways, anyone is open to code this, if they have any free time. And I'm in no rush, whatsoever.

Not unless you already have Firefox installed, which in the opinion of many others, is a far superior browser than IE. Don't know about Opera though.

And I'm sure that most people that have entered this thread already have Greasemonkey, and if not, I'm sure they'll install it, because it's a wicked nice program.

I just found something for IE, called Trixie. It seems that with their script, you can use any Greasemonkey script for Internet Explorer. I assume it's for IE7, because it lets you use plug-ins, or whatever Microsoft calls Add-ons. :frown:

I suggest reading the whole page before installing anything, because there are some differences

Of course, if you can't be bothered to do any of this, you can live with the forums as they are, and suffer. But from what it seems, both Greasemonkey and Trixie let you view webpages like you want to, and that's very useful because different people like different things.
