These ARE NOT hot deals, they're decent deals, but for cards soon to be lost in the abyss of too-expensive-for-2D-only but too-slow-for-modern-3D.
Newegg refurbed TI4200 are NOT usually $100, I've bought 3 for less than $60 each. As always, if you can't wait to buy and just jump on one, sure it may cost more, as with any refurbed video card.
There is little point buying a GF3 or 4 to play Doom3. Sure, you can tweak a LOT and degrade visual quality to get 40FPS at a decent resolution, but that's a better idea to squeeze a few more months out of your present card, not a GOAL for a card you don't even own yet!
HERE is another GF4 TI for $55.
Folks, ignoring the pros/cons of a GF3 or 4, these prices are pretty much what you'd expect from any vendor that lowers prices according to market value. Why isn't everyone selling at this price? Simply that when someone lowers their price, they sell out faster than everone else, so the majority having stock have the higher price till the NEXT few drop the price (and sell out too).
If you really want to pay $89,
here's another one.
Edit: Granted, it's not the 4400, but in some cases I'd rather have a 4200, it's shorter length allows putting in a smaller portable case for lanpparties, and just about all of 'em o'c to around 4600 level unless you get a real dud.
