Not too exciting, but http://www.esurance.com saved me $500 on my 6 month premium. I have no clue how good the service is but for $1000 a year I'll risk it. YMMV

I worked for insurance companies for several years, and I'll second this comment & add to it. Be very careful shopping for insurance, and don't assume that a big company is your best bet. Some of the biggest companies are simply big crooks with big advertising budgets. Also, don't judge your company on how well they handle payments and billing. Anyone can take your money. Ask around and find out how good a company is at handling claims. This step should be done locally since each state has different laws, underwriting guidelines, claims offices, etc. Just because people in California have had great experiences with a particular company doesn't mean that their Georgia division is great as well.
Personally, I gladly pay a little more for my Amica insurance. They don't advertise, relying solely on word of mouth, but I have never heard of anyone being ripped off by them. After being ripped personally by State Farm (GA & SC), and having a neighbor get royally ripped by Allstate (GA), I'm very picky about which insurance companies I trust.

I've just got a quote from Kemper Direct. Saving $400 a year from my present carrier (Allstate).
Allstate sucks, they give you a good rate at first, then raise it for no reason (till you get tired of it, then bail as in my case).
Anyone have any experience with Kemper Direct??
Thanks,
