Dito on the Family Guy. I think it's a funny show, but I never felt it was overly original, some how it felt forced. (But as I said funny.) Of course the Simposons rules all, but SP, Futurama, KOTH all crack me up too. King of the Hill grows on you, I used to think it was lame, but that's because I was watching it as though it were an in your face cartoon like the rest. It's not. It's more like a really funny sitcom, with characters that have much more depth then any sitcom with live actors. I think you just have to watch several of the shows to dig it, but not the first ones. Besides who doesn't love Mike Judge, ya know, Beavis and Butthead, Office Space, MIKE FREAKIN JUDGE!

Oh yeah, "A bee bit my bottom and now my butt's big!"

I will never forgot the Stewie breastfeeding scene. One of the most hilarious scenes from any show, ever. Stewies is the one person in the world who hates this situation more than anyone else.

Same here, never really like that texan show. But...the Family Guy is funniest cartoon I've seen for a long time. It's definitely not for kids but then again that's never been the target audience. Simpson is funny but old. Nevertheless, it's still good.

The negative comments about south park seem to be more related to the old episodes. The show has become much more political and has more depth. It's not just about bad language anymore. Family guy still rules though.

My Futurama set is already on order from fye. Gotta love Bender.

Regarding South Park, I about $hit myself during this year's Christmas episode. Electo-shock torture of Santa's balls, then shot gun death of jesus at the hands of the Iraqis! OMG, it was unbelievable. To say that this show does things no one else would touch is a huge understatement.

Family Guy is just so good that your average Joe just doesn't get it, that's why it got cancelled, also b/c the average Joe doesn't really have a sense of humour either.

so if this is true.. then why not buy it from the USA?....

I LOVE the Family Guy. It always reminds me of "Wait Till Your Father Gets Home" I think it's just the look of it. because the Family Guy is pretty edgy, where "Waits..." was just old school. (anyone remember that?) Along with "Bevis & Butthead" "Family Guy" is just classic to me. Simpsons is up and down. King Of The Hill is decent, but I always have had a grudge against it because I feel it's why Bevis & Butthead is gone

Homer to Ned as ned is getting out of the Mental Ward - "Ned you so crazy he he he!"

Stewie talking to death "Email me at lois must die... ALL ONE WORD @ yahoo.com"

Peter's talking about how he's so sharp and notices everything and loves television... watching Star Trek "holy crap, Uhura(sp?)'s black!" hahah. don't remember the setup but it was soooo funny.

and who can forget the ep where Meg gets the job at the waffle house and pretends Stewie is her crackbaby to get more tips.
when Stewie tries the pancakes for the first time, I almost DIED!

and the ep where Stewie invents that machine to change the weather pattern so there will be no more Broccoli. <--- HAHA

For people who want to check out clerks, right now it comes on Comedy Central on sunday nights at around 11 CT, i think. May be helpful for people who never got a chance to see the handful of episodes that came on ABC...

The least FOX could have done for all the "Family Guy" fans., January 21, 2003
Reviewer: Daniel Aldana (see more about me) from North Bellmore, NY United States Cancelling

"Family Guy" was a st@b in the back from FOX to all the fans of this hilarious show. Family Guy combines the American satirical comedy of "The Simpsons" with the sick and tasteless humor from "South Park". Added to this, there's an originality to "Family Guy" of its own which makes it a very special show.
Thanks to the greedy executives from FOX, "Family Guy" was cancelled, but at least we have this upcoming DVD, which includes audio commentaries and the banned episode "Wish Upon a Weinstman"

I have yet to confirm this, but could be legit. I'll report back when I have more info.

Tom

It's spelled "Weinstein" I believe.

Damn, I love the family guy.

It's evil too, let's not forget.
"Honey, I'm home. Great news, I got the promotion...."
"AAAH AAAAH AAHH OOOH OOH AAAAH"
That'd make sense and be funny if you saw the episode.

Don't know if this is what you were implying, but Family Guy isn't from Matt Groening; the Simpsons even made fun of Family Guy once - a public broadcasting channel that Homer was watching in one episode called Family Guy "low-brow entertainment." Yeah, it was sometimes. And damn funny too.

Actually they made fun of Family Guy again in the last TreeHouse of Horrors episode. Homer was making clones of himself and there was one scene with a bunch of clones and one of the Homers was actually the Family Guy. I guess it was the Simpsons way of saying that The Family Guy ripped off Homer.

I didn't like Family Guy too much in its first season, because they made the talking baby into a gimic and it just wasn't funny. In the later seasons I learned to absolutely love Family Guy. I think a large part of it was that Stewie (the baby)'s character changed so much. The 4th season was absolutely frick'n hilarious. It completely pisses me off that FOX canceled the show because I don't believe they ever gave it a decent chance. In its last season they lined it up on Thursday nights againstFriends and Survivor, which were the two most poplular TV shows at the time. How did they really expect it to perform against that kind of competition? Especially with as little advertising as they gave it.

I have a similar concern about Futurama. I don't think FOX is giving it the chance it deserves. It gets little to no advertising and they have it on at 6:00 on sunday. For the ENTIRE fall season FOX was airing NFL football and the games didn't end until 6:35, so it was impossible for anyone to watch it in my area, and probably in most areas.
