I remember the first time I saw this movie. It was on TV late night. Before we had cable when the local ABC affiliate just had a latenight 11:30 to 2:00 am Sunday night movie. Well, they put Enemy Mine on when I was in about 6th grade. Fricken loved it. That and Robinson Crusoe on Mars are 2 great sci-fi movies that I just discovered on accident on that late Sunday night movie block. I miss that.
