I found a 4000+ for $100 after $50 MIR and a x1650 pro for 115$ after $15 MIR... knowing Tiger's reputation with MIR, I dont think this is hot at all.

I love TD advertising too. According to them both of these components are 'both among the most powerful components in the universe'. Their email advertizements are usually even funnier, and I read them purely for the entertainment value.

@Lithan: too slow, and you're FS/FT link in your sig is broken.

@nicepants My not being too lazy to edit my sig in the past two years is broken too.

Unless you like being scammed avoid TigerDirect.com/OnRebate.com rebates! I got suckered once by these shysters; just to a Google search using the words "TigerDirect and OnRebate.com" and you'll find all the proof you need. TigerDirect.com should be on the ban list here at AnandTech!

I move for this motion to be closed.

Just how many people will have to take it in the ass from TD?
Hell I wouldn't purchase it from them even without rebates!

I've never ordered from TD so I don't know about them, but I submit lots of rebates and OnRebate has been among the most efficient at processing. I've done 4 through them this year and the two most recent (Ultra case/PSU) were deposited to my PayPal account within one week of submission.

1 - Yes, I agree that Tiger Direct suxors.
2 - Yes, I agree that their advertising is convoluted and even deceptive.
3 - Yes, I agree that the OnRebate process blows (i.e. you have to jump through massive paperwork hurdles AND pay them $5 to "expedite" your rebate or do the rot waiting for a check).
4 - Even with all of the above, I did get a good deal with this process last year on a monitor from Tiger Direct and my rebate check finally did arrive.
5 - Would I do I Tiger Direct OnRabate deal again?.......NO.
6 - That is all.

I'm fairly sure Onrebate has sold my email address to spammers, there was a substantial increase in spam soon after using their online rebate generation page. Since this was (fortunately) a throwaway email address only used for a period to get a rejection/validation notice, never posted and frequency rotated, it matters less but also pretty much rules out any other source, cause for the spam.

This wasn't a TD purchase either, I'd overlooked that the rebate went to Onrebate till time came to fill it out.

I learned that Tiger Direct is crap when they were new, back in like 96. They never shipped my top-of-the-line P133... the idiots somehow messed up the order, but thankfully I managed to cancel it after who knows how many calls. Ended up getting a Cyrix 166.

THOSE WERE THE DAYS.

Cool, we can all go over there and vote RED.

If you like this deal, I hear there is a local store down the block that has been busted for ripping off customers many times over the past several years, and they have been prosecuted by the state of Florida, with more complaints filed with BBB than most, they sell customers information, they sell products as new, yet ship used, yet they still keep ripping people off with new scams, (new suckers born everyday), and now they have a deal on ______ (fill in the blank) which looks legit!. You would NOT shop at your local store that has that sort of history, so why would you shop with them over the Internet? BTW, that local store "IS" TD based right here in Florida!!

They were onrebate and I selected the paypal option and never had any problems. Maybe if you have it mailed you run into trouble.

I've gotten from them:
