Great, I broke my NV5.

I have two GeForce 6800GSs running in SLI. There is space between two of them for my sound card. The card's fan was vibrating on top of the sound card, so I used my trusty Dremel to try to sand it down to stop vibrating.

Now the fan won't spin up (or even spin when you push it with your finger) unless you hold the card upside down, and then it rattles horribly.

If you get an NV5, make sure you don't have something under the next PCI slot. It will vibrate like hell. This thing really takes up 3 PCI slots.

I just wanted to rant. I'm so mad at myself and the damn cooler.

After I ran 3DMark05 once, the temp on the broken cooler is 72C while the temp on the okay one is like 57C. Goddamnit.

EDIT: http://www.arctic-cooling.com/service.php I CAN FIX THE FAN!!! OMGOMGMO <3 this company, first a 6 year warrenty, now they offer fans if you break yours, haha

EDIT2: Newegg says they don't carry fans and stuff and now I'm screwed

It's been over a week and the guy hasn't responded to my emails or anything. I'm beginning to think I got ripped off... though his eBay feedback is all positives.

I believe sellers have 10 days to get in contact with the buyer, and have 30 days before they have to actually ship the item. This is why I laughed at all the people buying/selling XBox360's on eBay because in theory, the seller didn't even have to send one for a month. There were several "sales" that I heard of where the seller didn't even own one yet to sell and took the time to then stake out places that were going to get them in stock. I know of one who actually made $2,200 for one and bairly found one at a BestBuy within the 30 days. Too bad it was still after Dec. 25 for whoever bought it from him...
