Also, you guys probably already knew this, but if you paste a UPS number directly into your Chrome address bar and hit enter, you get the result.
Much cooler than anything IE or FF has right now.
I think?

nope
shipping was not free

in that case, i wish they could refund your money if it's not delivered on time. afterall, it's a paid service and they didn't give you what they described.

yeah, well I have a package on the way from Endor.

Hope it finds its way to my house all right. Scheduled for Friday, and I have been patiently awaiting the delivery from Endor for, well... over a month now. Finally got a ship confirmation.

Worked at UPS a few years ago. They're generally pretty good at what they do. They work on a hub system - national hubs feeding regional hubs feeding local hubs which drop the package at your door. Remember, UPS is moving millions of packages per day. It may seem nonsensical but depending on the hub layout for the NE it may very well be more efficient for them to move your package to Dallas and back to NY than routing a special truck with only a handful of packages direct from NJ to northwest NY.

Reminds me of people ordering Envy 14's when they first went for sale, or 15's during a huge discount (can't remember which). Fed Ex shipping, which is normally pretty good...

They're assembled in China, then shipped to Alaska to go through customs. For those of us on the East coast, when they're released from customs, they go straight across the country, taking a few stops along the way. However, for some of the people on the West coast, they would go down from Alaska, over to Texas, bounce over to Tennessee (I think), and finally head back West. The final East-bound step before heading back West was at one of Fed Ex's biggest distribution centers, but still, it was really wonky.

This happens all the time if stuff gets palletized. Once the pallet gets to a distribution hub individual orders get broken up.

im well aware of how they work
there is a massive UPS hub in Buffalo which is like 90 min from my house and another large distro center in a town 20 min away and then theres Syracuse and Albany and one in PA

Dallas is not the most efficient way to get something here

nearly everything i order from NE goes from NJ->Buff->Arkport - my house. Sometimes itll hit Syr before buff. never even seen stuff from cali go to Dallas its always Cali - NJ - Buff

UPS is the worst company on earth.

Except maybe for Bose, Apple, Bell Canada.... There are probably more.

I have a package that got stuck the last week in Tennessee for "Adverse Weather" ? I didn't see anything about a big storm down there, so I'm guessing it will get up to Wisconsin around April when the snow melts here.
