I don't usually like to advertise stores much, as people can usually make up their own minds by their own, but these guys were so nice to me that i thought i'd mention them, as many canadians don't know them i assume. they are based in Winnipeg.

I emailed them with a random question, as I didn't really know their reputation, so i wanted to see how their service was.

They replied very quickly, and what followed really impressed me.

-Firstly they pricematched the lowest prices I could find without any hassle.

-They also pricematched ncix on the free shipping they are having today.

-They got their supplier to ship the motherboard i wanted straight to me so i didn't have to wait.

-They even suggested at some point that maybe I should use NCIX because the part I wanted was out of stock and NCIX had it.. they called them up to make sure they had the part, and even looked around for better prices for me, just because they wanted me to get my part asap. That's what I call caring.

-They are now trying to get me a deal on a vid card since I told them how I find vid cards in stores in Canada so expensive.

-We must have exchanged ~12 emails in the matter of a few hrs. NCIX took about 5 hrs to reply to the 2-3 questions I had.

I highly recommend them, I will stick with them for a long time from now on. Service goes a long way (and their prices are good)

The only bad point is their site design ain't great, but they are making a new one as we speak.

/end advertising

forgot to add, they also test every part they sell before sending it out! (I assume they don't do that for sealed hardware)

Not to thread crap but that's really queer. Do they sell used parts? I wouldn't want anyone messing with my schtuff.

'cause they are prolly more likely to damage a part messin' with it than actually discover a defect. Even a scratch or greazy fingerprint would be bad enough, but the potential for mechanical and electrical damage just increases with the extra handling and worse, may occur after testing and during removal/disassembly or re-packing, rendering the exercise useless.

allyourbase does a good business i've bought from them before and will buy from them again, the owner aaron is using it to fund a cybercafe he's opening in winnipeg and goes out of his way to help ppl. all the products they sell are new so you dont have to worry about used stuff

Honestly, anyone who knows how to build a computer does not need a "gaming" computer store. Case in point: their Half-Life 2 system is spec'ed with a Pentium 4 processor! Honestly these guys seem better at marketing than anything else, and I pity you all if you fall for the fluff.

If you want a good gaming rig, do some research yourself and contribute to the AT forums. People selling computers are salesmen with a single goal in mind: to make money. Seriously, know your budget, know what games you want to play, and read some reviews.

MoxMonkey, the fact that your first post on AT was to post a sales plug for your friend's store is suspicious at best.

Who cares about their systems? pre-made systems are usually for people withuot much knowledge anyways. Their parts/service is great, which was my point.

It's not my store.

You don't have to troll.

Even their "beginner" system is spec'ed with a Celeron! Come on guys, you call these gaming computers!? An Athlon XP would smoke that thing!

"Who cares"...the catch phrase of anyone who does not know how to intelligently rebut someone else's opinion. I care. Just about anyone who works for a living and has a limited hardware budget cares.

I'm not trolling, I'm stating my honest opinion that comes along with 20 years of dealing with computers.

Maybe I'm just more empathic than most; I cringe every time I see a Best Buy salesman selling someone a computer with a Celeron and telling them how many Ghz it has and how fast it will run games. It's complete BS and anyone in sales will admit to you that they tell white lies in order to keep food on their table.

Hmm ok, start drama all you want alone.

their service is awesome and their prices are nice.

You can go care all you want about their pre-made computers. I'd rather buy there than at NCIX.

Cool. I use ncix though (and prolly still will) cause they're a 5 minute drive away

Parts in 5 mins = pwn

Uh huh. The sad reality of the matter is that there are no good online retailers in Canada at the calibre of Newegg or Monarch. Personally, I shop at College/Spadina in Toronto where we have countless small computer shops all in competition with one another. I find I can get hardware cheaper than it is listed for on Newegg quite often.

If I were you, I would logically plan my computer upgrades and stop by a local shop in Montreal or Quebec City. I know for a fact that there are excellent shops in Montreal.

Just food for thought. Ta-ta, bonne chance.

There's no good online stores in Quebec, and you have to pay PST on top of it. I live in the suburbs and I will not drive around to find a deal that likely won't beat what I can find online, either in a store or from someone here.

Yeah I see that...$231 for the 6600GT. I didn't see that previously. Looks like they keep their online proces up to date. Mine is AGP... haven't gone up to PCIe yet... altho I hope to soon. I think I am just waiting for these boards to go thru a few revisions first.

Heard bad things about the MSI cards tho.. too bad. 231 is a nice price. How do you like your gigabyte? Is it noisy?
