Compu Tech has lots of great monitors for low prices. I picked up a G500 for $300 from them last year and have purchased several monitors from them for customers of mine. Knock on wood I haven't had a problem with any of those monitors.
Looks secure to me. IE shows "SSl secured 128bit". Tempted to buy except there is no way to figure the shipping Went through the order process up to the point where they want my CC number and it says "Shipping and taxes may be added to the order later". I don't think so. Not giving away my CC number without knowing the actual charges.
Lower the better, BUT make sure it's apples -> apples. Some manufacturers use "vertical Dot Pitch (the standard for many years), and now most manufacturers are using Horizontal Dot Pitch, which is a lower number. And shadow mask/trinitro throw a whole new wrinkle into the mix. THe only way to know what your monitors dot pitch is, is to check it out on the manufacturers web site.
My Sony had one little dent in the plastic on the left side and that was about it. Screen is clear and bright. Like I stated earlier in the thread, when i purchase from them it is at a computer shows so I have no idea as to the shipping charges. But I agree, I wouldn't wanna give my CC if they aren't gonna tell me how much they are gonna charge total.
