c'mon people, this thing is not a toy. imagine all the ppl would buy it if it was cheap, and there would be alot of blind people. i say again, this thing is NOT a toy, use with caution. they ban them in some countries for a reason....
1) The peak response of our eyes occurs in the 530-550 nm range (Green)
2) Night vision scopes primarily work in the IR, and yes, its images also are green to help out in contrast. Our eyes can tell the difference between light and dark regions rather than between light/light or dark/dark regions.
3) $150 is a good price. If you want to see some outrageous prices, pick up a Newport catalog sometime (not Newport-News)
