Since some of you guys (and dolls) have posted some nice messages on our International forum, I thought i should return the favor.

As you know our teams are in a great battle for place 15 in the Seti Teamrankings. You sure are coming very quickly. But... we released the genie from the bottle and his name is CobraICE. This guy is flushing 1000 to 2000 wu's a day! He amazes us every day The rest of us is also doing his bit and we will try to stay ahead of you but you're welcome to try to pass us.
I think it's a great battle and we are enjoying it very much, as are you i hope.

Every week I do an update on our S@NL Teaminfo Page where you can see your and our progress every week. I ussualy update on sundays of mondays. You're welcome to check it out. My english is a bit rusty, but I hope you can understand the info.

I will also publish a forumgateway on this page, so maybe there will be more members of our team on this forum. I saw that Rickman (our founder) was allready posting here.

seti is a nice place to do some real battling with all the big company's and over a million participants involved. I wonder if the seti@netherlands team, that has come really far allready, is ever going to make it into the top 10

Yep, we came a long way with Seti@Netherlands. When we started this team 'bout 1,5 years ago we never thought we could make it this far....
It will be a hell of a job to reach the top 10 and I honestly don't know if we will ever make it. But never say never and we will just keep on crunchin' and see what happens

And... sorry for the DPC remark in my first post. To bad some rotten apples can spoil it for a entire team. But as you say, if you have that many members there will allways be someone who does stupid things. Hope you personaly have taken no offence.

We sure hope so. We're already proud that we've come this far, considering the fact that the SETI@Netherlands team was founded out of nothing

But anyway: Our team sure is having fun with the race between HP (they're toast! ) and Anandtech. I'm always looking forward to Hellburners stats post for each day and see all the Team Anandtech members reactions. It's cool to be in a race with another active team! It looks like Anandtech is going to have another good day tomorrow because it seems that the guy that left you is returning tomorrow.

Are you kidding me? 1000-2000 WU's/day!!?? :Q :Q Holy crap!! :Q :Q What kind of power does this CobraICE member have? It would probably take 500 fast CPU's running 24/7 to produce that kind of output.

/me calls his pitiful ~50 ship fleet back to base for orders.

A little info on CobraICE. Supposed to be running 194 computers. 6044 WUs in the last 7 days. That works out to 4.45+ WUs per machine per day. Hmmm!

Pretty awesome.

BTW, I looked around on the S@N forum and found one of their stats pages... Here's some info on CobraICE (this will never line up right).

What it comes down to is he did 2296 WU's yesterday, 6000+ WU's over 7 days, and 11,500+ WU's over the past 30 days. I guess that's what we've been seeing with those spikes. They weren't new members, they were dumps by CobraICE! Man, that kind of CPU power is impressive. He's pretty much a team by himself!

I'll grant that 1 to 2 thousand WUs per day is impressive - but not out of sight.. do remember, TeAm, our very own &quot;Michael and the Cuppies&quot; was doing 600+ WUs/day for a couple days back in September/October of 2000. :Q

Which makes me wonder.. what happened to Michael anyways??

Hehe, well you could call CobraICE our secret weapon. And... he's still not using all of his potential. When he's done there will be a total of 650 PIII's running Seti for him. Berkeley asked him not to flush at night, because there was to much stress on the server because of his actions at that time of day. When it's night overhere, the sun is shining in the states, that's why...

It's very cool to see some of you found our messageboard. Welcome CJ and Robor!

I hope we will keep each other updated throught the forums. I also hope that RC5 stuff will be going on for a while.... 'cause when someone finds that key, i'm afraid we are toast

But first our aim is HP. That new member of them (37k) was quit a setback, but we're catching up..
