You ready for the kicker? That's not what the show is about (most of the time), and this proves pulse's point.

As I said earlier, I'm not trying to talk you into watching it. I'm trying to explain to you that making a judgment call the way you have isn't fair, that's all.

I'm currently a medical student.

What's funny is that most surgeons lead the most dull lifestyles you can imagine. In fact, there is no life. These guys come into work at 5:30 and leave somewhere between 6 and 7. They go home, and pass out by 8:30 or so. And then they wake up at 4:30 to repeat the cycle. On weekends, they either have to round both days, or are on call the whole time.

I found it to be pretty close to torture. The surgeries are as dull as dog sh|t too. It's just one stitch after another. You can be stuck in the operating room for 6 or even 12 hours straight sometimes, which makes you want to commit suicide afterwards.

The women who go into surgery tend to be uhhh... not so easy on the eyes. There's lots of jokes about this in the medical profession.
